Thank you for your help in making our ‘Celebration of a life’ a success. Your contribution began with the planning as we were ignorant of what would be involved in catering for 75 people in our home. You visited us and, quite quickly, we were able to make all the key decisions. It was helpful that you were so flexible.
The food, its presentation and the service, were superb. Many guests commented on it. And your contribution did not finish until you had cleared up everything and swept the kitchen floor!

I was recently lucky enough to attend an event at Folly Farm for which you catered. I have to say that everyone thought that the food was just amazingly delicious and quite frankly a refreshing change from the norm!
I look after a Catering Mark that the Soil Association have developed to reward caterers for using fresh, seaonal, local and organic produce and I would love to talk to you more about this, as i am in no doubt you would be prime candidates.

Rhubarb produce food that is astoundingly good and so fresh it almost pops off the plate! Using locally sourced quality produce is important to me. We had Trout en Croute (with fish caught from nearby Chew Valley Lake) which was delicious served with wild garlic as a vegetable. Although I’ve never made it myself I loved the nettle soup too. Whether it is main course or pudding this food is vibrant and unmissable!

I was recently helping to run an introductory wildlife filmmaking course at Avon Wildlife Trust’s Folly Farm Centre. The course was residential and students and tutors alike were looking forward to the promised delicious, organic, home-cooked meals … we were not disappointed …
Dinner on Friday evening was a delight! The Chew Magna Trout served En Croute with wilted wild garlic (collected from the Folly Farm woodlands) and sautéed potatoes simply melted in the mouth and the only sounds heard from the dining tables were hmmms and aahhhhs in a range of different tones and volumes. The rhubarb shortbread and cream that followed added a satisfying completeness to the meal.
Throughout the weekend we were served a range of beautifully presented and equally tasty meals. The home-made wild garlic and nettle soup served at lunchtime on Sunday was a revelation (and a delicious one at that) and the chocolate brownies which arrived with tea mid-afternoon on Saturday were set upon with the enthusiasm they truly deserved!
I cannot recommend this group of committed foodies more highly.

Rhubarb provided the catering and bar service for my brother’s wedding at which I was both best man and “wedding manager”. Ollie, and his new wife Becky, had spoken on how impressed they where and how easy Rhubarb Catering had been to deal with before the event, even having asked for many non-standard items.
On the big day I took over and was amazed by the way that quietly and efficiently brilliant food was served to the tables at the right time for more than a hundred people.
Producing great food is only half the battle, what I appreciated most from Rhubarb Catering was that all the staff where charming friendly and helpful – helping massively to keep me calm, collected and enjoying myself, making what could have been a very stressful and busy day for me, just a fun, busy one! They were a delight!
